Most of my time at REI has been on the checkout team for rei.com. I also was on a cross-functional team that collaborated with other teams on rapidly addressing customer issues from customer feedback.Our cart and checkout pages are microsites with a Node build system, Vue, Pinia, TypeScript/JavaScript, SASS for the client and a Java Spring Boot server.• Led the front end implementation of a new supply chain management system across rei.com. Handling store, distribution center, and vendor inventory, estimated delivery dates, and shipping restrictions.• Subject matter expert on our inventory and availability systems.• Implemented our automated Cypress.io end to end and component testing• Leading the transition of our codebase from JavaScript to TypeScript• Led the rebuild and redesign of our cart page, moving it from a monolith repository to a microsite.• Leading the rebuild and redesign of our checkout page

As a contract front end engineer for the TargetLists and Back to School product team I build highly accessible single page web applications. Our applications are built using Node, Grunt, Backbone, React, Require, jQuery, and Sass. In addition to providing an excellent user experience for traditional keyboard and touchscreen users, our applications are thoroughly tested with JAWS and NVDA screen readers.

My primary role was to build and maintain performant, large scale, mobile friendly, international e-commerce sites for gaming and software clients, including Adobe, Autodesk, McAfee, EA Games, VMware, Nvidia, and Ubisoft. Development is done using Java/JSP, HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript (Backbone, jQuery, Bootstrap).

For Venture Technologies I did freelance development of custom WordPress templates. Most notably Little Minds Learning Center, where I implemented a system for teachers to log the details of a child's day. Parents could then log in throughout the day to see updates on the child. In addition, the system generated a PDF and emailed it to the parents when the child went home.

Contract intern for Digital River. Assisted in development on a variety of e-commerce sites for clients including Adobe, VMware, McAfee, and Nuance.

Responsible for all aspects of website design and development. Site is W3C compliant HTML5 and CSS3 and also makes use of PHP and JavaScript/jQuery.

Responsible for answering customer phone calls and emails, providing expert advice regarding beer and wine making, assisting customers in the retail store, shipping & receiving, as well as countless other special projects.

Assisted with all manner of operations. This included interesting tasks such as brewing beer, milling grain and managing bottling operations, it also entailed cleaning, mopping, sanitizing equipment and yet more cleaning.

Skillfully and effectively lead teams of 8-14 people in a production environment. Member of the Emergency Response Team and repeatedly recognized with awards for superiorquality control and Employee of the Month.
