I love being constantly challenged. While training for my private pilot’s license, my instructor would suddenly kill power to my engine or call out a simulated engine fire in flight. In a matter of seconds, I have to recall everything I have learned and react to handle the emergency situation. These events test my knowledge and push me to improve as a pilot. Even when I am not in the air flying, I am always looking to find something that is challenging and will allow me to grow as a person. There is never a dull movement to learn something new. I am currently a Business Management Major at San Diego State University. To help me grow as a future leader and apply everything I have been learning, I have been accepted to intern at Nonprofit Solutions. I will be excitingly working with the board of directors to help this organization achieve their mission. In addition, for the past four years, I have been a part of the Air Force ROTC program at San Diego State and was recently competitively selected to go to pilot training. My goal is to fly the C-17 which of executes humanitarian and medical flights, to name a few, all around the world.
