Our small team of Engagement Ambassadors worked independently to connect with regional businesses, public agencies, and nonprofits to identify and develop opportunities for student engagement off-campus, with an emphasis on paid internships. I reached out to these groups, met with representatives to learn more about their operations and needs, and explored.

I assisted the environmental planning division of Tucson's regional MPO in report writing, collaboration with other agencies, designing materials for public outreach campaigns, mapmaking, and field data collection. Major tasks included assessing drought preparedness plans from jurisdictions across the region and—with input from municipalities, water.

The Drachman Institute is the research and outreach arm of the University of Arizona's College of Architecture, Planning, and Landscape Architecture. I was part of a team that assembled an inventory of compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act in Tucson's intersections. Any Tucsonan can attest that our city's pedestrian infrastructure is badly.

As an Academic Skills Tutor, I armed students with tools to face the challenges of college, minor or catastrophic, and helped them find the confidence to make the most of their time in school. The most successful students are those who find a balance between academic progress and personal development, and UA THINK TANK exists to provide services that any.

I oversaw and advised on the compositional clarity of public communiques. This position also afforded me my first seat on the Executive Board, where I contributed to the overall function and mission of UA Students for Sustainability.

As a software and design savvy member of the Marketing committee, I created flyers and other marketing materials for many of the projects and events of Students for Sustainability. Often given loose parameters, I carried my own design processes from brainstorming to mock-ups to creation to print. I loved the opportunities this internship gave me to.

In this position I photographed the company's vehicle inventory for publication to their online store and showroom. This included shooting and processing as many as 60 photos per vehicle. New inventory volume was highly variable, and I was left to self-schedule and ensure that the online store was up to date by whatever means I thought necessary.

Working for Purdue's catering department taught me valuable skills in self-managing as a crucial part of a team effort (and also gave me a strong foundation for my skills as a cook - something I take great personal pride in). A typical shift involved completing a list of tasks before a hard deadline brought the whole kitchen together to finish a meal for.
