As Code Power's General Manager and VP of Engineering, I'm in charge of the business strategic plan, vision and mission, and engineering operations.

Optic Power owns a portfolio of startup and technology services brands that helps businesses all around the world build and sell their products. We work on exciting projects with industry leading brands across numerous sectors, including Sift, Castle, Carta, Juked.gg, Snappt, Cloudleaf, and Team SoloMid.I am in charge of Global Engineering Delivery teams for the Code Power and Gaming Power BUs.

As VP of Engineering for Research & Development area, I was in charge of the Engineering and Product teams (120+ people), that develop internal products for the company, including ERP, CRM, lead generation tools, portals, websites, data analytics and BI, among others. I was responsible for defining SDLC processes, interaction between areas (stakeholders, product, engineering) and work with C-Level to define mid and long-term roadmaps. In charge of org chart, salaries, hiring and performance evaluations.

As Engineering Director, I was accountable for multiple vertical engineering teams, transforming them into agile empowered teams, and improving their interaction with other areas, including product and other engineering teams.I was responsible for various development programs that involved different engineering teams and areas (product, marketing, and consulting). I tailored, scaled, and transmitted the best practices from the Agile community to all the engineering areas.

I managed multi-disciplinary teams and projects for clients in the US and Europe, using Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban).I understood the clients' needs and translated them into software, by coordinating development, testing, UX/UI design teams, and any other vendors. Acting as a guide and facilitator, I made sure deadlines were reached and that the software actually solves the problem. - Lead and managed teams of 30+ people, involved in all the Software Development Life Cycle.- Scrum/agile expert. I successfully evangelized an Agile spirit in the company. As a Certified Scrum Developer trainer (https://www.scrumalliance.org/community/profile/dzacharias2), I taught subjects such as Scrum, code refactoring, effective communication and agile estimation.- Proposals for new projects and client account management. I helped bring more than 20 new clients to Hexacta.- Performance evaluations for all levels (mainly managers/leads/architects), guiding people into self improvement through coaching and mentoring.- Involved in recruiting tasks including interviews (>150), and project staffing.- In charge of an internal Metrics app, adopted and used by all projects, which allowed to automatically calculate metrics and analyze them at an organization level to take global actions.- Senior member of the Software Engineer Process Group, working on the evolution of processes and transmitting them to the whole company. - I wrote several methodology and technical articles for Hexacta's Blog, which brought traffic and visibility to the company's website.- In charge of Hexacta's Venezuela office (budget and salaries management, service providers coordination, office culture).* Client oriented: Flexible and adaptable to mold the work to what the client needs, without jeopardizing quality and best practices. * Team oriented: I extracted the best of our development teams, motivating by example, being realistic and pragmatic.

Lead a multi-team and multi-product project for a Logistic client from France, starting with 5 people and made it grow up to 33 people split into 4 scrum teams. Successfully put the system into production in over 25 countries, replacing a legacy system. In charge of managing technical aspects of the project (architecture, integrations with external systems, etc). Technical lead for a logistic operations management product for a client in France. The product was originally split into different sub-projects handled by different vendors. I overtook the project mid-way, integrated and merged them, which allowed to add features much faster, and to deploy them into production easier. My responsibilities included design and architecture, coding of critical modules, team management, client interaction and requirements definition. I lead a small team for the development of a medical insurance system for a client in Portland, USA.Responsibilities included analysis, design, development and testing using .NET stack.

Development of new modules for a CRM system for NGOs for a client in Maryland, US, using iMIS and netForum platforms with NET ASP.NET, SQL Server (SP, triggers). Design of a Service Oriented Design web service suite using SOAP. In charge of Visual Studio Team System and Team Foundation Server management.

Implementation of upgrades for an application for loading, authorization and follow-up of requests (new accounts, upgrades, credit cards, etc). C#, Oracle DB.

Development and testing of a Winform application designed to manage and process all information related to the university (courses, teachers, students, salaries, schedules, etc). Implemented in .NET technology with VB.NET and C#, with SQL Server 2000.Development (design and implementation) of an integrated Web based application to manage projects, employees, project assignments, client requirements, authorizations, e-mail reminders, etc. Implemented with .NET technology with ASP.NET and SQL Server 2000.Implementation of the back-end of a Web based application for the management of lottery tickets, distribution routes, schedules, etc. Implemented using MBI with .NET technology and SQL Server 2000.
