I currently work as a Product Support manager in Oshkosh Defense's Global Integrated Production Support Department. I have the sole responsibility for managing aftermarket support for the US Government fleet of 8,500 M-ATV Vehicles. Our purpose is to provide vehicle support globally on existing fleets of Oshkosh vehicles, trailers, and equipment. This is done through developing training, maintenance, field service, and parts replenishment programs that are tailored to the needs of those in the field.

Global Integrated Product Support (GIPS) is a diverse team that handles all aspect of vehicle support through maintenance, training, and overhaul. As an industrial engineer, my purpose was to provide engineering support to retrofit and overhaul programs being carried out globally on existing fleets of Oshkosh vehicles, trailers, and equipment.The main focus of this role was to develop standard assembly and installation processes for the customer driven installation operations. By establishing comprehensive plans for material delivery, process flow, and quality screening, our team is able run operations in an incredibly lean manner at a fast moving pace, while still maintaining a OEM levels of quality in the end product to the customer.

As a teaching assistant at Penn State, I wore many different hats. From teaching Engineering students the finer points of machining, metal fabrication, and rapid prototyping to fostering idea development in several classes within the Engineering Entrepreneurship Minor to facilitate thought provoking discussions between students enrolled in training classes to become a Resident Assistant in campus housing.

Assisted in multiple projects related to industrial and manufacturing engineering. Increased productivity and bottom line by utilizing Six Sigma concepts, such as Kaizen and 5S, to remove NVA wastes and variance in manufacturing systems. Also, assisted Quality Engineers by testing suppliers' products for defects and non-conformities

Altoona, Pennsylvania Area

Assist in modifying wire running lists and electrical conduit prints for overhauled locomotives being overhauled developing operator's manuals for locomotives overhauled creating History Books for locomotives creating parts list make drawings from aperture cards for new locomotive projects supply the shop with latest drawings As well as document and forward these documents to the shop for implementation, and filing of Engineering Change Requests. Work with General Motors Diesel Division Liaison Engineers regarding the design and fabrication of various material required to keep new locomotive assembly line on schedule. Manage drawing database and file current, drawing schematics and prints for locomotive modifications, creating a Photobook of Norfolk Southern components being offered for sale, assist in ensuring locomotive work packs are current and in monitoring overhaul procedures and documentation.

Primary duties are delivering correspondence, legislative materials, and small packages within the congressional complex; answering phones in the Members’ Cloakrooms; taking messages for Members; and calling Members in the Chamber to the phone. Pages sometimes prepare the House Floor for sessions.
