Alan is the CEO, Founder and Owner of Battle Comp Enterprises, LLC. He has a Bachelor of Public Administration from the University of San Francisco and has completed graduate work in Protection Management from Henley-Putnam University. Alan has consulted with numerous companies, to include being an original Firearms Safety consultant for MythBusters, on the Discovery Channel.Recently retired as a Police Lieutenant after 29 years, Alan was last assigned as a Patrol Watch Commander, and commanded the Neighborhood Response Team. He is one of six founding members of the South San Francisco Police Department SWAT Team (members of the San Mateo County North-Central Regional SWAT Team).Previous assignments include: Field Training Officer, School Liaison Officer, Corporal, Community Policing Coordinator, Patrol Sergeant, Detective Sergeant, Planning Sergeant, Gang Task Force Commander and Investigations Bureau Commander. Former SWAT Operator, Assistant Team Leader and selected Sniper. Graduate of National Counter-Terrorism Academy, POST Management School, Supervisory Leadership School Graduate and Auditor. Chief Firearms Instructor from 2000-2007.Specialties: Tactical Operations, Firearms and Shooting Instruction, Crime Prevention through Environmental Design, Investigations, NIMS/SEMS/ICS.Alan is an NRA Certified Instructor for Pistol, Rifle, Shotgun, Personal Protection in the Home, and Personal Protection Outside the Home.
