I'm a former newspaper/magazine journalist working in the firearms industry. I made the switch while pursuing a Master's in Public Administration (MPA) and have been killing it ever since. Since taking over digital fundraising for Firearms Policy Coalition (FPC), I have broken revenue records every single year... often by an astounding margin. I have grown from an intern to leading a department at FPC in under 3 years because:-I have supercharged organizational revenue and shattered fundraising goals every single year... often beyond our senior management's wildest dreams. -I have grown our donor base by leaps and bounds in a very short time and overseen the rapid conversion of new leads into donors.-I possess the skills, experience and education to successfully manage and lead. I also understand the difference between the two.Although my marketing experience has been largely self-taught, I have been successful at it because:-I have a singular knack for persuasion. -I understand that generating donations is about making human connections. You must evoke emotions and move people to action.-I am an excellent and seasoned communicator who understands human psychology. I know how to reach people, speak to them in their language, and make them care.
