Started career as Audit Assistant in the Audit Division of Coopers & Lybrand, left as Audit Assistant Manager to UMW Industrial Power Sdn Bhd, as Accountant in 1995.2006: Transferred to Oil & Gas Division as Accounts & Finance Manager, in charge of the accounts for the Group of companies.Role expanded to Corporate Development, involved in key strategic decisions for the Group, corporate investments, acquisitions of businesses and joint ventures, including the integration in various countries.Headed the ERM division, in addition to the Corporate Development role. Pioneered the Corporate Strategic & Investment Division, which was later restructured into a bigger portfolio of Corporate Development, heading the team.Experience in 2 major corporate exercises of the Group: 1.initial public offering and listing of the Company in 2013.involved in the overall coordination of the corporate exercise, responsible for the business, industry overview sections of the Prospectus, key member of the Due Diligence Working Group (DDWG).2.Rights Issue offering in 2017lead for the corporate exercise, key representative for the Chairman of the DDWG.Established and headed the Investor Relations team. Experienced in presentation decks, headed the team for the maiden Annual Report and subsequent reports, which includes the key strategic messages. Communicating and liaising with the investment community-investors, fund managers, analysts.Developed the Sustainability framework, reporting structure and the first report in 2017.2017:reassigned as Head, Internal Audit & Risk Assessment. Evaluating the efficacy of risk management procedures, protect against fraud and theft, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulation, processes, recommendations on improvement on internal controls and governance processes.Transferred back to strategic role as Head, Corporate Transformation Office in 2018. Involved in strategic planning of the business - reviewing business model for improvement, growth and sustainability. Tasks involved divestment exercises, exploring new potential business, reviewing processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness, cost optimisation / savings initiatives to further strengthen the business. Reassigned to Financial Controller of the Group in July 2020. Headed a team of accountants in ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting, evaluating and managing risk, ensuring compliance with regulations, overseeing accounting operations, analysing financial data, monitoring expenditure, coordinating auditing processes.
