This position involved communicating with clients in both French and English on a daily basis via telephone, email, and face to face. Throughout this role I worked alongside international embassies, consulates, application centres, NGOs, exporting and multinational companies, EU institutions, private clients, as well as major agencies and tour operators in Benelux, and over 300 certified translators within the Brussels area. This required a large amount of initiative, creativity, and problem-solving when faced with complex and challenging applications, as well as competency with accounting tools such as Ciel. Additionally, the company utilised Google Suite to maximum capacity for all aspects of project management, marketing, and international collaboration, which gave me a strong understanding and appreciation of using digital platforms to optimum effectiveness within a management position. I was in direct contact with heads of companies, consulates, and private clients on a daily basis, and became very at ease with discussing complex cases in both French and English. Furthermore, I assisted heavily in the marketing of the company, sending out email campaigns, designing brochures using Photoshop, and contributing to the development of a new website as the company expanded. Additionally, I attended weekly team meetings to summarise the week’s targets and discuss new marketing strategies, in which I contributed to analysing the effectiveness of these, determining key clients and target audience, and conducting analyses of past clientele and the company’s primary international markets. I analysed the daily financial turnover, sent out and paid invoices, reassured clients over challenging applications to which I then presented possible solutions, alongside advising and supporting potential clients and motivating my team.
