Current* Read and interpreted drawings, specifications, work instructions, and procedures * Delivered dimensional and GD&T measurement and analysis results on timely basis for the first-off inspection, in-process check and PPAP layout of powder metallurgy parts, using various types of measuring equipment * Performed metallurgical analysis for sintered and heat-treated parts, including microstructure analysis, micro-hardness testing, image analysis, densification and case depth evaluation… Show more * Read and interpreted drawings, specifications, work instructions, and procedures * Delivered dimensional and GD&T measurement and analysis results on timely basis for the first-off inspection, in-process check and PPAP layout of powder metallurgy parts, using various types of measuring equipment * Performed metallurgical analysis for sintered and heat-treated parts, including microstructure analysis, micro-hardness testing, image analysis, densification and case depth evaluation, etc. * Analyzed defects of non-conforming parts returned by customer or rejected from production through defect/damage characterization, dimensional inspection and/or metallurgical analysis. * Established automatic laser and video measuring routines on OGP machines for the newly launched clutch plate parts to replace the initial manual inspection approaches based on the Contour Tracer, thereby having improved the measurement consistency and reduced the inspection time of each part from approximately 90 minutes to 3 minutes. * Developed reliable metrology solutions by utilizing laser scanning technology for complex and tiny features on the prototypes or PPAP parts. * Established, modified and optimized the automated inspection programs of automotive gears and sprockets on Klingelnbarg CNC gear measuring centers. * Troubleshot problems with some of the measuring machines and equipment by using root-cause analysis techniques and in-depth knowledge of the machine and its software, and thus having reduced down time and avoided unnecessary service call. * Wrote standard working instructions (SWI) and provided training to lab colleagues or relevant users on the newly-developed measuring and/or testing systems. * Took initiative in workplace by actively participating in developing solutions to metrology and testing issues, detecting and reporting quality documentation errors and confusions on a regular basis, and offering inputs and suggestions for continuous improvement.
