Strategic Transformation Office - Operating Model

Team lead for the Operating Model Business Architecture Team with responsibility for the development of the architecture design of the new Garda Síochána enterprise systems to align the Garda organisations strategic objectives with its operational demands under the Operating Model structure at Divisional, Regional and National level. Analysis of the existing environment business systems, processes, and data flows to build out the new systems blueprints change catalogues for the Operating Model Functional Area Structures and interdependencies.Analyse and evaluation of feedback received of architecture design changes and develop and make recommendations both to the Operating Model Central Team and Senior Divisional Management. Conducting extensive national and international research, strategically analysing information/data and making recommendations to senior Garda management on the Operating Model implementation, taking policy, systems and policing issues into account while providing advice/recommendations with regard to the restructuring of the Garda organisation at Divisional, Regional and National levels to enable the long-term planning and the allocation of functions, optimisation of processes and benefit realisation.

My primary role was the supervision of a community policing unity in a busy city centre district. My unit were focused on the delivery of the following;• crime prevent initiatives, • implementation of initiatives to tackle anti-social behaviour locally occurring, • reducing the fear of crime • engaging with partner agencies in joint problem solving • prosecution of offenders• the improvement of the overall quality of life of my community.This was achieved through community engagement and providing policing service to local residential and business communities. My role also includes diversity liaison, including LGBT. I was responsible for the oversight and monitoring of criminal investigation for my unit. I engage in business and crime analysis. I was a local expert for major event management and planning. I was regularly called upon to assist in strategic management and planning, including the preparation and monitoring of divisional and district policing plans, public procurement preparation and evaluation. I have also been involved in the preparation of local corporate risk registers and management processes surrounding the monitoring of risks locally.
