Misericordia Homes purchased a 3-acre plot of land and demolished the Unity church building in order to develop 16 residential style buildings with a private drive, lighting, and landscaping, as well as an extensive civil package. The buildings are 2-story with a basement/crawl space. Each building features wood frame construction, asphalt shingle roofs, Hardie siding, masonry enclosure, vinyl windows, and a hydraulic elevator. The 16 new buildings will provide an additional 103,000 SF of enclosed space and a total of 96 bedrooms to the Misericordia campus.My job as an intern was to help wherever those in my trailer wanted me, mostly focusing me on site handling quality control of items that had just been installed in each house. Everything I found from these checks was clearly and quickly communicated by me to my team. When inside the trailer, I would also help craft submittal packages, create weekly newsletters, take minutes for every meeting, and close out any necessary items in our spec book.
