For about a semester, I was a youth fellow in the GIV Fellowship run by the YouthRoots foundation, where I was placed with the Gates Family Foundation. Through this program I got to learn about philanthropy in a small cohort with the YouthRoots foundation each week, and then I was able to get hands-on experience at the Gates Family Foundation. This eventually culminated in a presentation on Colorado Land Conservation that I gave to grant-making staff at the foundation. I was able to learn about many different aspects of philanthropy, especially grant-making. I directly participated in the grant process by going on a site visit and assisted in working on the report that later was submitted to the board.

Assisted in a variety of classes in a public elementary school in Mostoles, Spain. Primarily taught 5th and 6th grades.
