The accountancy and reconcilliation function was migrated from London to Dublin in June 2012. I was part of the migration team and within 4 weeks I was appointed the SME for the function & within 4 months of the migration was promoted to supervisor.Day to day management of a team of four associates. This team is responsible for reconcilling the books and records of European / Emerging Markets and American stock and cash accounts for BOAML.Analyse failing trades on numerous trade flows and following up with up with relevant departments.Keep management up to date with volumes, backlogs and relevant statistics within processes.Reporting on AGED / High Value / High Risk breaks and giving overall break volumes weekly, monthly and quarterly results to senior management.Responsible for balance substantiation of all cash and stock accounts for Prime Brokerage & Intercompany clients of EMEA / Emerging Markets & US markets for month end balance sheet sign off. The month end sign off is reported to the FSA and the Securities Exchange Commission.Assisting senior management with SOX testing and other audit requirements as required.Chaired numerous phone conferences which were attended by a variety of business units, regions and managers of all levels.Writing up procedures and introducing new controls and checks to reduce exposure. Led my team in a recent internal movement of Reconciliations across Platforms which gave way to a new opportunity to remove a number of minor technological issues that caused issues day to day.Continuously identifying improvements and introducing preventative maintenance controls.Compile reports on business activity and performance on a regular basis.Undertake a systematic approach to time management in order to prioritise tasks due to high demand.Deal with internal & external client queries in a timely and professional manner.Liaising with change management team to monitor enhancement requests.

The Retail Banking Operations Centre is a centralised support unit for all AIB ROI branches. The unit receives and processes written customer requests, Audit requests, account investigation requests in relation to bounced cheques, Direct Debit requests, Standing Order requests and all deceased account reconciliations. My responsibilities within this role include the following:Prepare documents of critical information for members of management.Was implemented as the workflow co-ordinator within the Auditor Reports team. Responsible for communicating team issues & escalated client queries where necessary back to management.Absorbed responsibility of managing staff skill analysis for the department. This analysis highlights gaps in cross training and reduces risk across the department.Assigned procedure document review for operations to ensure that all processes are fully updated & user friendly.Identified as subject matter expert for audit report automation project where a manual process was migrated into a software application.
