As a developer I have come to find myself in a space where the language I use is no longer the thing which defines me. The route I take to complete a journey matters as much as the journey itself. Enjoying what I do is the primary driver for getting me out of bed in the morning and behind my computer, doing what I love.For me to enjoy work, I need the following:1. A cup of coffee to get my day started.2. A working environment where the principles of software craftsmanship is understood and practiced.3. Challenges.4. The opportunity to experiment with new ideas and technologies.5. A casual environment where I can dress as I want and possibly even listen to music to help me get into the zone.When I enjoy my work, I will naturally deliver the best product possible. This is only logical. For this reason I will always gravitate to jobs where I am comfortable and where I have a sense of belonging.
