I am developing innovative approaches and programmes to implement new media techniques within primary and higher education.I am developing a new type of teacher qualification: the academic teacher. It is directed at young students who want to be excellent instructional leaders and innovative decision-makers in education. The course aims to teach them how to integrate multimedia applications into their lessons and to use investigation and research to constantly improve their teaching methods. I am also leading a project which trains students to deliver a high quality instruction to primary school children so that they can achieve high outcomes in reading skills and comprehension. During this students use a small video camera to record instructions which are given to children with the purpose of inviting feedback.Vanaf 2011 vooral actief met de didactiek van het stelonderwijs. In het SLOA-project (2011-2013), waarbij vier scholen voor basisonderwijs zijn betrokken én studenten van de academische pabo wordt gewerkt aan de verbetering van de instructie- en fedbackkwaliteit van het stelonderwijs. In 2013-2014 werd met tien scholen, onderzoekers van het Welteninstituut, studenten en docenten gewerkt aan de verbetering van het stelonderwijs. Dit resulteerde in leerlijnen voor verschillende schrijfgenres en in concreet lesmateriaal. Bijzondere aandacht werd besteed aan het produceren van korte videoclips. Deze clips bevatten een klein schrijfprobleem en maken 'learning by observation' mogelijk. Opbrengsten werden verduurzaamd in een boek 'Schrijven Kun je Leren' dat in 2014 verscheen.
