Since 1951, Shore’s mission is to improve the quality of life for individuals with intellectual and other developmental disabilities through educational, residential, vocational and other related programs provided with community integrated supports and services.As CEO, I provide leadership and vision to advance the mission and strategic goals of the organization, working closely with the Leadership Team and Board of Directors.

Oversee the day-to-day operations of the organization. Work to develop a more integrative approach to The Night Ministry’s programming to more clearly define how different programs interact and how they can continue to complement one another. Responsible for leadership and management of daily administrative and programmatic operations of The Night Ministry, including: Youth Programs, Outreach and Health Ministry, Human Resources, and Finance & Administration. Serve as the Executive Director of the TNM Asset Management Organization, a subsidiary organization which manages the real properties in which programs of The Night Ministry are housed; includes work with a separate Board of Directors and financial reports. Act as the designated leader of the organization in the absence of the President and CEO.

Provided visionary leadership in advancing the mission and vision of the organization, serving over 400 adults experiencing homelessness each year. Led the growth and transformation of the agency over time, strengthening both program outcomes and financial stability of the organization. - Expanded mission and services to meet the changing needs of clients to include permanent supportive housing.- Led successful $1.05 million capital campaign and renovation, establishing permanent space for programs, and ensuring financial stability for future growth.- Raised the profile of the organization within the community by serving as a spokesperson, communicating mission and goals to stakeholders and the community at large. - Led the long- and short-term strategic planning for the organization with the Board of Directors; implemented a dynamic new Associate Board of professionals and Graduate Council of program alumni in order to cultivate new leadership. - Responsible for hiring, managing, and motivating staff to achieve their full potential; promoted staff growth from six to fifteen permanent employees.

- Designed, implemented, managed, and evaluated all direct service programs.- Extensive knowledge and understanding of substance abuse issues, mental health problems, and available community resources. Developed innovative programs using harm reduction principles.- Initiated and built collaborations with employment, educational, mental health, medical, substance abuse treatment, and housing agencies.- Responsible for intake, assessment, and case planning with program participants.- Individual and group counseling, and case management with up a caseload of up to 40 clients at a time.- Maintained confidential and accurate client records; developed a client tracking system. - Promoted a safe, healthy environment for all program participants, staff, and volunteers by building positive, trusting relationships using a strengths-based model.- Enhanced the organization’s visibility and image in the community through participation in community meetings and events; developed and maintained relationships with local businesses, schools, and churches..- Recruited, trained, and supervised 1,500+ volunteers annually; developed systems for tracking retention.- Developed and facilitated volunteer training seminars and educational programs for community organizations.
