Provide consultation and support in three main areas to Wisconsin Valley Library Service member libraries:1) Technology Services: provide frontline technology support on end-user and networking technology equipment including needs assessment, procurement, installation, and daily technical support through a shared ticketing system. Provide training for library staff in technology use, digital citizenship and online safety, and more as needed. Collaborate with LEANWI technology needs to plan, develop, implement, and support networking solutions and technology systems.2. Website services: provide development, training, and support for 80+member library and auxiliary websites throughout the LEANWI area. Train library web managers to maintain and update websites established in WordPress with Divi theme; provide backend design and ticketing support. Collaborate with LEANWI technology team for hosting and PHP management.3. Data services: develop a "culture of data" within WLVS member libraries by collaborating with statewide initiatives to develop data dashboards, input on annual report, and develop and provide local training and support for individual libraries and county library boards for planning, reporting, advocacy, grant-writing, marketing, and more. Assist libraries in understanding and "telling their data story."

Serve as chief executive officer of the library. Implement library policies and projects and provide leadership for improving public library service in the community. I work with the Library Board of Trustees, library staff and volunteers, supporting agencies, patrons, partners, and local officials, to develop a variety of public services that respond to the changing needs of a diverse population of users by providing a variety of materials in multiple formats, appropriate and accessible across lifespans and abilities. Tasks include: developing and managing annual budget and expenditures, developing and implementing policies, managing staff and staff development, overseeing maintenance of the library facilities and physical resources, managing collection development and technology, building and maintaining positive community connections, promoting the library and its services, responding to the needs of the library users and community as a whole using qualitative and quantitative data analysis, and envisioning and planning for the library's future. And changing light bulbs.Achievements: - Completed $2.2 building renovation and expansion project in 2019 with day-by-day involvement and management of design development, coordination with architects and design personnel, general contractor and construction subcontractors, library construction committee and library board, while also coordinating the temporary relocation of library services and communicating with the community about changes to services and construction updates.- Managed library operations during the 2020-2021 pandemic including adapting services in accordance to public health restrictions; employed new technologies and systems for contactless service.- Participated in multiple system-level committees including the selection and implementation of a new discovery layer. Served as a director-mentor to two new library directors and provided strategic planning facilitation for another system library.

As a Family Living Agent with the University of Wisconsin Cooperative Extension, I provided educational and organizational support to individuals and agencies serving Oneida County families. Programs included: rural poverty, alcohol and other drug issues, families in stress, at risk populations, parenting, and community collaborations. Methods included guided facilitation, collaborative partnership building, direct education utilizing outcome-based programs, and academic research.Achievements:- Led long-term (2-year) strategic planning with the Tri-County Human Service Center during a difficult transitional period. Multi-faceted process brought together representative groups and stakeholders and focused on overcoming deep-seated distrust. Resulted in improved staff moral and administration-board relationships, increased quality and quantity of client-serving programs, and innovative cost-saving measures while transitioning to a state-mandated change in program delivery.- Developed innovative Digital Leaders Grant in partnership with Oneida County UW-EX Community Development Educator to provide mobile technology resources and training to three Oneida County libraries over five months. Results: 19 librarians increased personal skills using and coaching others in use of four different digital devices (Android and IOS operating systems).- Developed community survey for the Demmer Library Building Committee to gather community input into building needs as part to plan for facility renovation and building expansion. Survey results and further stakeholder input resulted in the design of a $2.2 million building project completed in 2019. As Department Head, administered the UW-Extension and Land Conservation offices and county fair board in Oneida County. Reported to the Oneida County Board of Supervisors and liaised with other county departments. Developed and oversaw three budgets and managed twelve staff.

As short-term consultant performed community needs assessment for Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse (AODA) issues in Oneida County, Wisconsin. Needs assessment report provided the coalition with information to apply for federal Drug-Free Communities (DFC) grant. Activities included:- Developed needs assessment framework for quantitative and qualitative assessment.- Assured availability of quantified "four core measures" survey from students in grade 6-12 at three county school districts.- Developed and implemented community environment scans.- Coordinated with two neighboring AODA coalitions that overlaped in target populations. - Developed capacity of coalition members in creating and implementing needs assessment frameworks.

Developed grant proposals and coordinated application process for non-profit agencies with a mission to address inter-racial issues in the Minocqua, WI area.

Member of senior management team, key leader during strategic transitional period involving organizational restructuring and strategic planning process for 2008-2013. Oversaw three health program managers implementing projects in remote project offices. All projects achieved donor objectives. Wrote five project proposals which were funded with a total award of $1,000,000.

Responsible for planning and coordination of project activities for three health programs and direct project management oversight for three project officers and 20 staff in Cao Bang Province. Assured quality implementation of donor-authorized activities which met donor-authorized targets and outputs.

Supervised health sector activities in six districts and 23 communes of Fianarantsoa province of Madagascar for the “Kaominina Mendrika” (Champion Communes, KM) project, a component of the USAID child survival project SantéNet managed by Chemonics, International.

Developed and implemented community-based projects targeting HIV/AIDS transmission reduction in remote rural communities in north-central Madagascar. Designed and initiated local environmental education projects.
