Merriam is a non-deterministic system for exploring large volumes of information using what we call "narrative search." At Merriam, I:- Assisted in the strategy and design of the narrative search system- Implememented front end user interfaces to the system, in particular the web application (written in NodeJS, MongoDB, React, HTML, and CSS).- Added custom user interface features such as live annotation on the web- Conducted client assessments and designed prototypes based on their needs- Handled correspondence with vendors for logistics and bill payments- Assisted in the management of cloud infrastructure on AWS

The History Lab project (formerly the Declassification Engine) is an interdisciplinary effort to bring computational methods to bear on large volumes of archival information. It also seeks to conduct research and build tools that will help the government in its mandate to declassify more of the public record.
