Verizon Insights :Verizon Insights is developed by the Verizon Big Data and Artificial Intelligence (BDAI) team that generates marketing insights based on location, clickstream, demography and CRM data. Target audience based on any of these parameters and reach them effectively via various campaigns. Everyday 10s of TBs of clickstream data is ingested, processed, indexed and available for visualisation, insights and other processes. I worked on the ETL, API and middle tier components. I lead the team working on the middle tier. Part of the work involves productizing ML algorithms.Involved in generating insight data that is used by internal Verizon customers for advertising and other campaigns.Some of the technologies working on include Spark (scala), Spark ML, Spark as a service, Akka (scala version), Spring, MySQL, HBase, Lucene/SOLRVerizon Toll Free Data Service (TFDS) :The verizon TFDS service was developed to provide toll free data services to customers. I lead the development and deployment of a http proxy that tracked the number of bytes in a http session. The product was developed in a relatively short time and with very good quality. Some of the technologies worked on in this project : golang, redis, etcd.

Routing intelligence is provided by PSX (policy server) in the Sonus network. This added significant scalability to the productI lead a team that was responsible for the development of the following features as per the OMA POC specification.. Worked extensively on the SIP, H,323 and TUCL (TCP/UDP convergance layer).Key contributions include.. Implemented RFC 3265 (SUBSRIBE/NOTIFY), RFC 3311 (UPDATE).. Implemented a draft versions of RFC 4028 (Session Timers), RFC 3841 (Caller-Callee preferences), RFC 3515 (REFER) . Designed and implemented the Load Distribution Function to distribute SIP dialogs across different SIP nodes for scalability. Designed and implemented the multi threaded version of the TCP/UDP Convergence Layer (TUCL).. Helped make the H.323 stack fault tolerant by identifying checkpoints to backup session state. Did performance analysis on the H.323 stack, identified bottlenecks and changed design to improve performance during high load conditions.. Added support for RAW sockets.
