Projects:• Providing the City of Syracuse Bureau of Planning and Sustainability with consulting services for greenhouse gas emissions inventory, climate action plan, sustainability plan, etc.• Providing consulting service to Jubilee Homes on Urban Farm project.• Providing consulting services to Onondaga Earth Corps, a youth development and employment program focusing on environmental and community service.• Consultant to Intermediate Unit 17, PA, for implementation of “Classrooms for the Future” program• Organized and designed exhibits and educational programs for ECOPLUS’ exhibition in the World Expo 2005 AICHI's NGO Global Village (http://www.global-village.expo2005.or.jp/en/index.html).• Managed program to develop and promote collaboration on environmental projects between Korean and Japanese environmental groups and schools via a bilingual website (http://kj.wschool.net).

• Spearheaded effort by GreeningUSA Education Committee to create neighborhood-based educational workshop series devoted to sustainability and events geared towards educators on education for sustainability. • Coordinated delivery of Sustainability Academy with contributors from universities, neighborhood agencies, Syracuse City School District, and non-profit organizations. Program has reached over 1000 Syracuse residents.

Coordinator of Onondaga Earth Corps, Urban Ag Corp and Oneida Lake Watershed Youth Corps, youth development and employment programs for teens with a focus on community and environmental service in Syracuse and Central New York.

As Education Program Director:• Managed volunteers, interns, websites, mailing lists, and contact database in order to promote organization’s activities.• Over eight years of experience producing bilingual newsletters, activity reports, and educational tools (English/Japanese and Japanese/Korean); interpreting and translating; and working in diverse cultural settings.• Designed and implemented international and environmental education programs with a diverse team of teachers from around the world (Israel, Palestine, Mexico, the United States, Korea, Japan, Columbia, and Vietnam).• Assisted in proposals, program reports and evaluations for grants to support organization’s tasks and programs.• Coordinated 15 international conferences and workshops.• Organized and led outdoor-environmental camps for youth with a focus on cultural understanding and leadership in Japan and Micronesia for eight years.• Coordinated a group of 30 youths from 12 different countries in the environmental group of the “Discussion Sessions” sponsored by the Cabinet Office of Japan.• Established and ran an environmental school/“Eco-house” for elementary students in cooperation with Waseda University, Honjo Campus.As Environmental Correspondent:• Proposed and carried out a 4200-kilometer walk across Japan as part of an environmental education project for World School Network. Interviewed people, visited schools, made local televisionappearances, posted daily discoveries about nature, wildlife and humans to children throughout the world.• Inspired students and teachers from nine countries to implement programs in their schools and in their communities focused on discovering local wisdom related to sustainable living.
