I work in Design Assurance Engineering (DAE) validating products at various stages of lifecycle. My time is split between the Metrology and Environmental teams.My work with the Metrology team is similar to my first co-op there. • Analyzed data using Stata to quantify the impact of macroeconomic factors and online sales data on retail sales, providing insights on which KPI’s to weight more and less heavily.
• Generated predictive models in Stata to identify how stores are performing relative to the revenue that the data would predict.
• Conveyed analyses to retail staff through PowerPoint slide decks for a broad overview of the findings and produced detailed white paper for future replication and scrutiny.

• My third and final co-op was done at AOC Inc., a small engineering firm in the DC area. AOC provides systems engineering support to the US Navy, primarily for the Littoral Combat Ship (LCS). My role at AOC primarily.
• Maintaining issue tracking databases and spreadsheets
• Reviewing drawings and tests for verification and validation
• Supporting issue resolution through review of specifications and pictures
• Wrote several VBA programs to update spreadsheets and documentation automatically

• My second co-op was done at GE Sensing in their manufacturing engineering department. My primary focus was on production of the Aurora Trace Moisture analyzer. While working for GE I tackled numerous manufacturing.
• Producing a detailed system documentation for technician and customer reference
• Designing and implementing sample gas control systems for component testing
• Selecting and purchasing flow components for a high-precision gas calibration system
• Designing fixtures using SolidWorks and 3D printing for improved ergonomics and efficiency
