The world of Human Resources is becoming much more data-driven, and I like to think I have an unusual set of skills to help with any data-led HR project.My primary interest has always been other people - an interest which led me to my Psychology degree as well as other qualifications and training (a PGCE for teaching at Further Education level, and an accredited training course for executive coaching). But my professional skillset is one that's been built up through 11 years in a retail analytics role at dunnhumby, where I was a report developer / business analyst / solutions director. The combination of genuine interest in the people side of companies together with the expertise in dealing with data (particularly in Excel/VBA programming), allows me to significantly add value in areas that are under-represented in most HR teams.Since focusing on HR projects in 2015, I've worked on a variety of projects including bespoke global salary reviews, team restructuring & budgeting, reductions in force, company engagement surveys and the development of many reports and dashboards to bring the data to life. I've worked with Workday, CultureAmp surveys, payroll data, and also developed my own surveys/tools to capture data from employees too. I love any project that calls for data understanding and a bit of creativity in finding an excellent solution!

My specialty was in taking an idea from start to finish - analysing what the client needs were, visualising a solution, and then developing the solution in the most efficient way possible. I also had a major influence on the social community of the company, running the social committee for 7 years and helping to promote a fun culture - which included turning dunnhumby into the biggest softball company in Europe with 80 regular participants!
