I am a state certified teacher of secondary mathematics in Pennsylvania with 10 years of classroom experience. I hold all clearances and certifications required by the state to teach grades 6-12. I am now retired from the classroom devoting time to students as one-on-one math tutor/coach. I am familiar with the mathematics curriculum required by most of the middle and high schools in Harrisburg, Lancaster and the surrounding area.Even though I am qualified to teach all mathematics courses, I concentrate on Algebra 1 and Geometry. These are the foundations without which there can be no future success in mathematics. Once these two courses are truly mastered, most students succeed as they advance with little or no help. If you are an adult returning to college, I can help you as well! I studied pre-engineering at PSU, and I have a B.S. in Mathematics from Elizabethtown College. I can coach you through those difficult first math courses.My goal is to insure that each student reaches his/her full potential at the earliest stage to secure a successful future.
