He is currently a consultant focused on international and domestic business and legal strategies.Ed's most recent executive role was as the CEO of U.S. Renewable Energy Group, where he negotiated and led the development of more than $1.3 billion of energy and smart grid transmission projects, as well as the first ever Sino-foreign joint venture for petroleum exploration in Mainland China. He also guided major Chinese firms in investing in large scale projects in the United States, securing financing and funding from financial institutions and investors, and managing all internal and external legal work. Prior to that, he was the Executive Vice President and Asia CEO for AEG, one of the largest privately held corporations in the world, where he successfully developed landmark agreements that opened China's media and entertainment industry to foreign ownership and investment. He also oversaw the growth of AEG's operations and portfolio in the Asian region, with real estate, infrastructure, and development projects exceeding two billion dollars. Prior to AEG, Ed was the EVP and China CEO for Clear Channel Communications (Entertainment Division). Ed is passionate about creating value and impact through cross-cultural collaboration, innovation, and sustainability.
