Ed Douglas is a native of Alabama, but has lived and worked in 7 different states and traveled to over 30 countries. He has a B.A. and B.S. from the University of Alabama, a M.S. from the University of Washington, and an A.A.S. from Faulkner State. He has been on the faculty of what is now Coastal Alabama Community College for 13 years, the last 7 as director of the Gulf Shores Campus and chair of the Hospitality Division. He is involved in increasing the Global perspective of Community College students and to that end is currently serving as Chair of the Coastal Alabama Community College Global Engagement Committee, Chair of the Alabama Community College System Global Engagement Association (ACCSGEA) and is the immediate past chair of Study Alabama. He is collaborating with Universities, the Alabama Department of Commerce, Alabama Commission on Higher Education and the Alabama Community College System on internationalizing college curriculum and increasing opportunities for international students in Alabama.
