This department is woefully understaffed and I have helped fill in the gaps to assist Veterans who are falling thru the cracks of the system.I have changed the tone and attitude of the Department to one that embraces good Customer Service. I was instrumental in helping obtain a important piece of equipment that was needed to implement a new phone system. I have worked with homeless veterans and others who have a multitude of problems to try and get them back on an even keel. This position involves communicating with veterans, their doctors, nurses, and other caretakers in the VA system and facilitating improved care via negotiation with the stakeholders or by cracking some heads to get these folks the care they deserve. I arranged the first meeting between VA counselors and members of The Wounded Warrior Project that set in motion an extra resource for wounded veterans that the VA cannot provide. I am part of the "Fresh Eyes" project where I walk around the facility and observe the relationships occurring between patients and employees.

Sold Private Label for Borden Consumer products( $100M business selling dairy, lemon juice, bouillon, non-dairy creamer, Sweetened Condensed Milk,)and supervised sales force,PLMA participation, and customer service until Cheese division was spun off to DFA where I singlehandedly managed a $70M industrial and Private Label business. Top accounts were Aldi,Target,Reser's, and Topco Associates where I was "Supplier of the Year " in 2007.
