    leveraging the success I had with client focused training and development I was brought on with Honeywell permanently to continue my client facing programme development and training delivery while taking on the challenge of training and development of Honeywell New Zealand staff. in this role I engaged with the business to identify and quantify strengths and weaknesses in skill sets then built supply networks with internal and external development agencies to build capability to address the strategic direction of the business.     Development and delivery of a technical training programme supporting systems and equipment deployed in Correctional environments. Within this role I was initially embedded with the client to build relationships and develop a solid understanding of their user training needs for which I then developed a phased approach to deliver training solutions for a range of requirements. The 12 month contract was to deliver a full training library for Electronic Security which I completed within 9 months and moved on to the development of more advanced resources while continuing throughout the contract to provide face to face training to users in support of project delivery.

    The Department of Corrections manages over 8,000 prisoners and a further 34,000 offenders at any one time. My role within Corrections was to dictate the direction of and support the provision of vocational education and training as part of a framework of rehabilitative and reintegrative interventions offered, primarily to prisoners. In this capacity I managed the relationships between Corrections and tertiary education organisations and governing bodies to ensure the provision of high quality, realistic, and engaging educational programmes for our learners who often had been previously disadvantaged or excluded from traditional education. This includes developing accreditation for our 300 internal instructors across 40 trade areas as well as overseeing relationships with polytechnics and private training establishments to deliver targeted provision to prisoners directly.
