I act for a wide range of clients across a number of the firm’s key sectors, with a focus on clients operating in the Real Estate & Infrastructure sector. I have broad development sector expertise, having acted for and advised commercial and residential developers, real estate investors and land promoters.My commercial and residential developer experience includes advising on development disputes involving rights of way, rights of light and other easements, restrictive covenants, boundary disputes and the interpretation and exercise of promotion, option and overage agreements. I have also advised on BNG disputes, including relating to the provision of offsite credits. My development practice means I regularly advise on development agreements as well as issues arising from water and drainage infrastructure, highways and other utilities. I also advise on misrepresentation, breach of contract and negligence claims.A recent highlight includes acting for a PLC housebuilder in order to successfully dissuade a County and Borough Council from issuing proceedings following failings from other developers to meet necessary s106 obligations on a development site, and obtaining the necessary written confirmations from the Councils to allow plot completions to continue.
