As a US Army Cyber Officer, I've experienced the meaningful effects and the frustrating limitations that technology can have. My experiences drive my appreciation for how innovation and technology should also empower people in their day-to-day lives. My time in the Army and at West Point have also developed core instinct to always do things the right way, not take shortcuts, be kind, and foster relationships of trust and respect.During my career, I was chosen to lead the Army's brand-new Wireless Cybersecurity team at 1st Special Forces Group to exploit technological vulnerabilities to enable our most elite Special Operators to be more effective and protected. I developed a capabilities package for our Green Berets and consulted them on how to adapt to meet our future threats. I grew a new team of 8 into a platoon of 18 and scaled our equipment, training, and operations to continuously add value to my organization. I became an expert in developing cross-functional teams, synthesizing ideas across domains, developing relationship across organizations, and fostering a team culture of inclusion and positivity. In my pursuits to become a product manager in the technology industry, I'm preparing myself with the same rigor and intensity that I brought to the military through an MBA at UC Berkeley's Haas School of Business and an MS in Computer Science at the Georgia Institute of Technology. Whatever lies ahead, I look forward to continue leading teams in projects that ultimately serve others and make everyday better.
