Main job is to develop / design testrigs for testing of aircraft components and structures. This includes:- mechanical design, 3D / 2D (Catia / Creo Parametric)- analysis mostly done in MathCad and some FEM-analysis- select the right hydraulic actuators and servo-valves- select the electronics / software- communicate with suppliers about the drawings and producability Besides that:- lead the build of the testrig (get the hands dirty)- keep an eye on the testrig when commisioning and during the test- keep the test runningBut I'm also a sparring partner for my co-workers to discuss mechanical challenges / problemsProjects worked on:- F16 wingtest to predict the technical life of the wing: Complete the design of the testrig and do a redesign of some components including the analysis. Had the mechanical lead in building the testrig and during testing keep the test running and inspect the wing for cracks on a daily bases. Keep the Linux-server and the windows-clients up-to-date and running. Running mail-server, file-server, database-server, web-server, ERP-server on CentOS-linux as different VM (KVM)Created modules / reports for the ERP-system (OpenERP).Migrated OpenERP to Tryton with all the data.

At USG Innotiv, I'm was transferred from one client to another as mechanical engineer. That gave me the opportunity to see how companies work, how the different processes work etc. Below some of my jobs:- Moffet-Kooi (now hiab / cargotec) : work on the service manuals. Job was to put the older models into 3D as accurate as possible.- WP-suspension (now KTM, located in Malden (NL) ): Design helper-tools for assembling shock-absorbers. Modify existing tools to ease assembly.- Internal job: Transfer the 3D-model of a plastic component which was created in Solidworks into Pro|Engineer.Heavy use of surface-design.- Auping: Complete the desgin of a massage compressor from design into production. Supporting the co-workers how to use Pro|Engineer. Act as a "consultant" giving support when Auping moved from Pro|Intralink to PDMLink. Together with a coworker created a 3D-base how to build efficient and stable 3D-models, heavily relying on familiytables and relations in the different 3D-models. Only a small set of real 3D-files (files which are stored on disk) were needed. Engineer a bedmodel from the drawingboard into production. Designing all the components which are made with different technics (injection moulding (aluminium and plastics), bending, milling, welding etc) and from different materials (wood, plastics, aluminium).- Internal projectbureau: Running as (lead)engineer different projects, for different customers like Agco-Challenger, BMA-ergonomics, Rollepaal, OTB-solar, Lovink-Technocast. Give new co-workers support on getting started with Pro|Engineer.

Develop nieuw models of airheaters / refreshers and test them in the laboratory. Implemented Pro|Engineer and Pro|Intralink as the new drawingtools. Developed testsetups for testing the devices by using LabView.
