In 1984 Ed founded Benno Food Products Corp., manufacturing and selling dry salad dressings and seasoning mixes to food service operators throughout the United States and abroad. Benno’s products were marketed and sold under the Foothill Farms Brand which Ed created and trademarked. In 2004, after 20 years of growing sales and successful operations, Ed sold the Foothill Foods Brand and operations to Kent Precision Foods Group, of St Louis, Missouri and continues today as a consultant to the President of Kent Precision.In February 2000, Ed was instrumental in organizing and served as the Chairman of the Brookside Country Club’s Member Acquisition Committee. Following the successful Acquisition of Brookside, from its’ developer in November 2000, Ed served as the Club’s first Board Chairman and successfully guided the Club through its first year of Member ownership. In October 2005, Mr. Brink was again elected by the Brookside Membership to serve a three year term as a Board Director.In November 2004 Ed and Pat Bennett started Focused Sports & Entertainment (FSE) to market and promote sporting events and related activities. In February 2005 FSE obtained the exclusive/long term franchise to promote the Canadian Professional Golf Tour. Since then FSE has underwritten, promoted, and executed five Canadian Professional Golf Tour Tournaments.Currently FSE works with The University of the Pacific’s Baseball and Golf teams, conducting “Pacific Community Baseball Night” and “The Pacific Invitational” NCAA golf tournament.From 2005 thru 2011Ed served as the head freshmen baseball coach at St Mary’s High School, a State and National power.From July 2006 thru 2011 Ed served on the Stockton Sports Commission.Since 2004 Ed continues to operate Benno Consulting & Investments Corp. Benno is involved in consulting to business owners and mentoring their senior executives as well as venture investing.
