In this role I have supported high quality evaluation and evidence based decision making capacity by leading a small team developing and implementing a new evaluation capability for Department of Health compliance projects.

In this role I developed policies, strategies, and programs to provide Australians with access to better mental health care, and help prevent suicide. This included developing and contributing to signature initiatives such as the new national digital mental health platform, and a national network of adult mental health centres, and engaging with mental health professionals and people with lived experience of mental health and suicide from across Australia in support of a Ministerial Advisory Panel.

I have been a public servant since 1999 when I started working as a courier at the Therapeutic Goods Administration in Symonston. I used this opportunity to work my way up, learn and serve consecutive Australian Governments of both political persuasions. I have worked in a wide range of roles and corporate, program and policy areas, and on subjects including Gene Technology, Primary Health Care, mental health and telehealth. I have implemented multi-million dollar programs, and developed major budget initiatives. I have had the honour of working with a wide range of stakeholders, including healthcare professionals, academic researchers, consumers, and private industry to deliver better outcomes for Australians.

As a member of the Monash Primary School Board, I supported the strategic direction and operation of the school, including stewarding the school through an unexpected change of school principal, and through the COVID-19 pandemic.

As a passionate Canberran, I stood for the 2020 ACT election on a platform of improving services and affordability for people living in Canberra's south.

In 2019 I stood as the Liberal Candidate for my home seat of Bean.Regarded as a safe Labor seat, Bean is the most diverse electorate in the ACT, including rural villages like Tharwa, established suburbs through Tuggeranong, Weston Creek and Woden, and brand new suburbs in Molonglo.Having met with thousands of people across the electorate, I heard about the challenges people across this electorate are facing from issues like the rising cost of living and ageing or non-existent infrastructure; and how people feel taken for granted, neglected and ignored.

As Policy Convener for the ACT Division of the Liberal Party of Australia I championed the interests of people in the ACT and across Australia, including by taking policy motions to the Liberal Party Federal Council promoting international trade, reducing the burden of import tariffs, and standing up for Canberra as the home of the public service.

I was a Liberal Candidate in the 2016 election for the ACT Legislative Assembly, standing for a new vision for the south. At the end of three months of full-time campaigning, I had walked over 400 km, knocked on over 8,000 doors in the electorate (literally until my knuckles bled on more than one occasion), and had hundreds of in depth conversations about the issues and challenges facing people in Tuggeranong.

Over more than a decade, I produced, promoted and performed electronic music at venues and events across Canberra and NSW, including promoting events and performing at seminal Canberra venues Heaven Nightclub, Club Habana, and Toast, and at underground and mainstream events from 'Ping' to Satellite 2002.
