In addition to providing advice to my own portfolio of key clients, my responsibilities were to: - Manage and mentor the team responsible for delivering ongoing advice; and- Collaborate with the General Manager to improve the business processes

Working closely with the senior accounting team to provide quality advice to the firms clients with a large focus on Self Managed Superannuation Fund strategies and Direct Equity portfolios.

As the Senior Planner, in addition to building and looking after my own portfolio, I was responsible for mentoring and training a team of financial planners new to the industry.

Initially providing advice to MLC clients the role transitioned to looking after the NAB's Business Bank. Within the Business Bank I provided advice to the unique needs of business owners.

Working within MLC's Threesixty division, my role was to prepare financial plans and strategies for hundreds of financial advisers Australia wide.

Preparation of comprehensive financial plans for St George banks financial planners. I was also heavily involved in providing strategy, technical and software advice and support to the planners.

Implementation of investment products for customers of the bank. Success in this role enabled me to very quickly progress to my goal of entering financial planning.
