Consult, coach and advise professionals on career development and advancement. Work with small businesses and industry on developing a culturally diverse workforce. Advise colleges and universities on recruitment and retention of culturally diverse students.

Instrumental in encouraging high school students to consider enter careers in science and engineering. At the same time provided an opportunity for students to solve technical problems. Introduced high school teachers to additional teaching materials resulting in more hands-on classroom activities and the scientific approach to problem solving.

Administer summer programs for college and university engineering and science educators at the Stennis Space Center. Facilitated program where selected faculty spent ten weeks working on research projects, often collaboratively with NASA researchers. Specific duties of the co-directors position include: reviewing applications and selecting faculty, supporting faculty research efforts, organizing faculty research seminars, and compiling and disseminating final research. Program co directors also arrange social activities for the faculty and their families during the summer.

Administered programs in the division which included Electronics, Engineering Technology, and Mechanical Engineering Technology. Division enrollment was 300 students with 10 faculty. Wrote and secured grants for funds and equipment. Supervised grants and related projects. Administered budget. Managed department staff and physical plant.

Assisted in the administration of The College of Engineering and Engineering Technology which includes three ABET accredited engineering programs and Two-Plus-Two programs in Engineering Technology. Enrollment in the college exceeds 1,350 students. Assisted dean with management of 54 full-time and 6 part-time faculty and staff. Academic programs include: Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics Engineering Technology, and Mechanical Engineering Technology. Specific responsibilities included managing the engineering complex and providing leadership for proposal preparation and research projects. Also provided leadership for recruiting activities and community relations.
