Developed and implemented community building and engagement strategies through various events that would host individuals from the city of Highland on our church grounds. This would be in active participation with key stakeholders within the city of Highland, such as the City Council, Police, Fire Departments, California Disaster Recovery/Response teams, food vendors, Internet-Service Providers/Contractors. Train, recruit, and coordinate volunteers, staff, and third-party vendors that will be facilitating the success of such events occurring on the church's grounds. Responsible for the onboarding of new visitors into our church database. Upon proper implementation into our database consisting of 19,700 individuals and 8148 members currently. New individuals would be entered into a sub-project management database (Planning Center). After being placed within our database, new members entered into an assimilation process that would immerse them into the church by connecting to a community that matches their interests, age, and location. Meet weekly with our Discipleship Pastor to establish new methods to connect newcomers to Immanuel Baptist Church. Secondly, how to birth healthy 1X1 discipling/mentoring relationships, which would lead to the establishment of new community groups and be added to our current 88 community groups spanning various ages, occupations, interests, and skills. Oversee IT operations and supervise crucial university systems. Lead IT staff of 24 individuals as we service a campus of over 12,000 students and 600 staff/faculty members while managing projects across all phases of the development cycle spanning 67 university departments. All done while utilizing various project management frameworks such as Agile, Waterfall, Scrum, or Hybrid depending on the needs, parameters, scope, and constraints, and for the successful delivery Interface directly with internal and external clients to define project requirements and implementation goals for cross-integration within university systems and processes. Such clients are as follows: Blackboard, IBM, Cisco, Dell, Box, Laserfiche, Kaltura, Pearson, Qualtrics, Citrix, and Watermark.Consult with 67 of our senior-level directors, department chairs, and Deans across California Baptist University to identify business and technology needs and optimize information technology use. Develop various projects/strategies alongside other key stakeholders such as our full-time technicians and IT sub-department heads/directors and outside partners/vendors as it relates to improving and/or modifying CBU's IT infrastructure. The various teams that I engage with are as follows: Business Analytics, Application Management/Development, Procurement, Cybersecurity, Networking, Audio/Visual, Web Development, Card Services, and User Services. Act as a liaison between employees within User Services and upper leadership when it comes to financial, technical, and administrative assistance/issues. Create processes and standards for selection, implementation, and support systems within our issue tracking system, "ServicePro." This would include the creation, tagging, and categorization of tickets for an end-user experiencing an issue.

Alongside a team of 12 individuals, work to manage all IT functions California Baptist University. With a campus size of 12,000 students, and over 600 staff and faculty members spanning across 67 different departments the various duties within the role we would serve as the school’s first point of contact for any technical issues.Various duties within the role included but were not limited to: server, network hardware, and software configuration, maintenance, installation, and troubleshooting. Assist with network print server/ infrastructure, anti-virus / anti-malware software, cloud based VOIP phone system installation / configuration. Assist with cloud-based SaaS platforms / Applications such as BOX, Zoom, WebEx, Blackboard, Kaltura, Citrix, VoiceThread. Work alongside CBU’s 6 additional IT Sub-Departments to identify and evaluate system, security, performative, and compliant issues. These teams would range from Networking, Card Services, Web Development, User Services, Cybersecurity, Online Learning Systems and Telecommunications. Once issues were identified we would then follow through to rectify these issues by either constructing an internal plan of resolution or meet with external third-party partners such as Dell, Apple, Microsoft, Cisco, Blackboard, and Jenzabar to find a solution to an issue.Additionally follow Agile, Waterfall, and Iterative project management frameworks to successfully plan, initiate and implement projects across university departments depending on various needs, be it performative, functional, security, or financial needs. Other duties included: documenting, tracking, and monitoring service request tickets within our database “ServicePRO” to ensure timely resolution and consistent communication with the end-user on the progress of their service ticket request. Performing device / phone system moves/adds/changes as required. Maintain inventory and asset documentation within SharePoint Databases.

Attended weekly meetings at Ontario police department with other cadets as we were either briefed information on future operations to be conducted or in regards to ongoing incidents. All for the purpose of planning strategic responses and utilizing police resources tactically. Perform clerical tasks, filing, data entry, and documentation regarding day-to-day tasks. Coordinate with the fire department, paramedics, and dispatching unit on emergency calls for police assistance.Serve as a a Spanish interpreter during DUI checkpoints to fellow officers and cadets. Conduct traffic patrols with the lead officers around the city of Ontario. Provide safety, security, and crime deterrence city wide and for city events spanning 50-15,000 individuals. Conducted training with police officers in the area of traffic, firearms, conflict de-escalation, and DWI detection.
