Eddy Duran is a 2019 Emmy Nominated Director and an award-winning Video Journalist/ Director that began his film career in New York as a box office clerk for the Samuel Goldwyn Company and participated in various small film productions in New York City and Los Angeles. After college, he acquired his first on hands opportunity as a Production assistant on the acclaimed television series, New York Undercover. Recognizing the need to create thought-provoking films, Duran wrote and assembled the team for his first indie feature film, STONE COLD KILLERS LOS-JODEDORES. The movie was acquired by Maverick Entertainment, who also acquired Eddy’s second feature, GRAND OPENING. He followed up with THE LESSON PLAN, an acclaimed short which was showcased in the Short Film Corner at the Cannes Film Festival. In 2011 Eddy Created Produced and Directed the series PALE BLUE LIGHT which featured Jonathan Duran and his Producing partner's John M. Keller and Louie Gasparro, they produced 4 episodes. That same year Eddy directed BLACK PEOPLE ARE PEOPLE TOO, written and produced by Novelist, fellow filmmaker and good friend John M. Keller, the short was a sequel to THE LESSON PLAN. In 2012, he directed his fourth Feature film, 36 SAINTS, which debuted theatrically in NYC, L.A. Chicago, Miami and Tampa in September 2013. In 2019 Eddy was nominated for an EMMY for the movie THE STORY OF LORENA BORJAS: THE TRANSGENDER LATINA ACTIVIST.The list goes on for Eddy Duran. Feature film number 5 CHRONICLES OF A MISSMAN is in development, and the 6th film will be a Spanish language film entitled MACHETE Y GILE. The repertoire includes; On Gun Hill Road, Shanghai Palace, Brooklyn English. Currently, Eddy Duran has relaunched Duranfilms as a video production company based in Central Florida specializing in high-end glossy and dynamic commercials for local businesses of the major Metropolitan markets like Miami, Tampa, Orlando, and Jacksonville.
