About Eddy W Wanyonyi

Eddy Wanyonyi is a Civil Engineer with 2 years of experience in Structural Engineering (EIT). I am equipped with skills in designing new buildings, producing retrofits/repair drawings for compromised structures and conducting site surveys. I have worked on structural drawings of building elements from apartment complexes’ outdoor trellis, the structural framework of storefronts for franchises such as JD Sports and Gucci. As an EIT, I also got to be part of the design team on concrete and steel high-rise commercial buildings in New York and Los Angeles area. I am well versed with engineering formulas for conservative structural design calculations alongside industry computer design software (E.g - SAP2000, Etabs, RAM Structural, ForteWeb etc.) Additionally, I can work with other softwares including: AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, 3DS Max, Inventor, Navisworks and Project Libre.Currently, I am intent on bridging the design-to-build gap as a Project Engineer. I take the role of adopting technological ways to coordinate team effort, schedule projects and do construction material take-off. I am forever passionate about the future of BIM tools in developing countries with a focus on Kenya, Tanzania and Rwanda
