Following a year-long search, I joined as a part of the Local Leadership group as head of the NY Studio's Technology team to prove department structure and technical project management across digital products and games. Unfortunately cut short due to Covid-related financial issues.

As the head of technology, I was responsible for leading the technology team, partnering with new business development team on pitches and client growth strategy, and collaborating with IT. The technology team consisted of creative developers, software engineers, technical artists, and data strategy. My role consisted of managing the team, identifying and hiring new talent, and providing career growth and mentorship. Projects we tackled included native mobile applications, AR and VR experiences, brand websites, digital products and platforms, and out-of- home installations & kiosks, for clients such as S&P Global, Pepsi, Supercell, and Beats by Dre. I worked with IT to implement company-wide tools and security best practices, such as the construction and management of a secure black site facility. Additionally, I was the digital privacy lead for initiatives involving GDPR and CCPA.

As a Technical Director, I was responsible for leading the development of a large range of projects and for managing the Development Team, reporting to the CTO. Projects included microsites, advertising campaigns, loyalty platforms, games, e-commerce sites, mobile applications, and brand websites. Notable clients included Mountain Dew, Pepsi, Mike Bloomberg, Under Armour, HBO, Redken, and L'Oreal. During this time I also taught myself PHP and server management, developing backend systems, APIs, and custom content management systems for projects.

In my first position at Firstborn, I was the lead AS3 Flash developer on a variety of projects for clients such as XM Radio, Sport Chalet, AirTran Airways, SoBe, and Doritos. Projects ranged from 3D experiences to modular brand dot-coms. I also presented work at conferences such as FITC Toronto and OFFF Paris.

As Workinman's second hire, I spent the summer making Flash games for Nickelodeon for properties such as Drake & Josh, Home Improvement, and George Lopez. I was able to work on all aspects of game development, from design, 3D asset production, and programing. I also did level design for the Princess Bride video game.
