Processing: Responsible for providing clerical support for all mortgage and manufactured home loan processing activities. Obtains and verifies necessary information and prepares documents for underwriting and closing review. Communicates loan status to all involved parties including buyer, seller, realtor, and Credit Union representatives. Facilitates the processing of FHA, VA, USDA and conventional lending.Escrow:Interact with vendors for information and account updates relative to real estate tax processing and insurance tracking. Set up escrow payees, reconcile disbursements and escrow refunds as well as manage annual escrow analysis. Audit and maintain third party service portfolios.Coordinating Leads:Contact leads in a timely manner and offer deeper insight on our products and services. Uncovering the circumstances around new requests. Preform basic underwriting practices including DTI, LTV, and review of credit report. Problem solve to provide solutions to the needs of the member, while protecting the interests of the credit union. Assign and communicate lead requests to the Mortgage Originators. Construct and attend marketing events to support the flow of external mortgage leads. Provide internal training on mortgage practices to increase the quality of internal referrals and leads.

Primary responsibilities include the analysis of sometimes large and complex potential and existing Five Star Credit Union (FSCU) portfolio loans. The analysis process includes qualitative (borrower, industry, transaction metrics, etc.) and quantitative (historical financial statements, projections, sensitivity scenarios, etc.) analyses of transactions. Assists FSCU Business Lending personnel with credit administration of the FSCU loan portfolio (periodic credit reviews, association assessments, counterparty analyses, etc.). Communicating and problem solving with our commercial clients. Cross train with Commercial Processors to efficiently prepare closing documents. Collaborate with Commercial Lenders on strengths and weaknesses of potential and existing clients. Collection and Review of annual financials such as Personal Financial Statements, Business and Personal Tax Returns, Income Statements, Expense Reports, Rent Rolls, etc.

Follow established cash handling and security procedures. Adheres to Member Identification Program (MIP) and Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) procedures. Prepares Currency Transaction Reports (CTR) as needed. Presents and explains Credit Union products and services to members and potential members. Monitors transactions for suspicious and/or possible fraudulent activity and examines documents for endorsement and negotiability. Detects and resolves discrepancies promptly. Refers suspicious activity to supervisor or BSA Officer. Handles regular cash dispenser, vault, and teller drawer audits. Open and Closes the Financial Center by reconciling cash drawers and checks received. Facilitate payroll requests for credit union members on our payroll service.

In this position, I developed skills as a financial planner by contributing in building strategic financial plans based on the specific needs of our clients and provided products such as life insurance, long term care insurance, and disability insurance. I also gathered, organized, and prepared client information for underwriting. In this role I received my Alabama and Florida Life & Health Insurance License.
