Eden Ellis is the Talent Acquisition Analytics Lead at Waymo. He is driving to enhance business intelligence, reporting, strategic planning, and program management within Waymo's People Team as they work to attract and retain the industry-pioneering individuals who are “Building the World’s Most Trusted Driver.” Eden is a results-and-data-driven lead with a proven track record of analyzing and optimizing/automating hiring processes, collaborating and presenting with executive and board clients, and managing teams. Eden also has expertise in data analytics, visualization, dashboarding, project management, tech stack design, capacity planning, and budget management.Prior to joining Waymo, Eden spent more than six years in management consulting. Most recently, he served as a Principal at ghSMART advising private equity, hedge fund, and Fortune 500 companies on their most pressing leadership challenges, including leadership assessment and selection, leadership development, and organizational change. Directly prior, Eden spent five years with Deloitte Consulting LLP’s Strategy & Operations practice. As a Manager, he partnered with large North American banks to navigate their toughest technology and process transformations and advised global Deloitte CEOs on how best to advance and measure local diversity and inclusion priorities. Beyond client engagements, he held numerous internal leadership positions, culminating in an opportunity to lead undergraduate recruiting nationally.Eden began his career in public service and has domestic policy experience with the U.S. Senate (Health, Education, Labor & Pensions Committee) and Small Business Administration. Internationally, he has policy and non-profit experience with the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) and INJAZ al-Arab (Junior Achievement).Eden graduated with honors from Cornell University with a B.S. in Industrial and Labor Relations. He earned his Master of Business Administration from the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University and was named a Fuqua Scholar. Simultaneously, he received his Master of Public Policy from the Sanford School of Public Policy and published a thesis on access to capital for female entrepreneurs.Eden was born in Zimbabwe and grew up across sub-Saharan Africa and the Middle East. He is an avid chess player, endurance athlete, tennis player, hiker, golfer, and musician. He lives in Denver, Colorado with his wife and son.
