Country Manager for Mexico and the Caribbean Countries, Maui Jim Inc., 2004 to present.• Responsible of the initial set up of the entire operation for: Mexico, Puerto Rico and Dominican Republic. Ensure product introduction on these markets.• Select the optimal place for the warehouse location, hire and train the entire distribution center Staff.• Ensure the correct brand awareness and projection of its marketing philosophies.• Find and select the finest sales representatives to introduce Maui Jim in 850 optical stores over the last 7 years.• Select the best sport and social events to sponsor them with Maui Jim and find the early adapters who will later make our product popular.• Contact celebrities to promote our brand as Aloha Ambassadors!• Run 2 sales seminars per year to maintain the work quality and motivation among all staff members. • Track the sales progress in all accounts within Mexico, Puerto Rico and Dominican Republic.• P & L Reports, sales and expense forecasts, Marketing Budgets, Operation budgets, and all the administrative operations of the branch office.• Edgar participates as well on the selection of new styles, inventory levels and importation process.

Edgar started as personal assistant of Mr. Mauricio Barky, owner of Optical Barky Group (a local eyewear manufacturer). He started a joint venture with MARCHON in partnership with All Berg, Jeff white and Larry Mills. Soon he was the first rep for Calvin Klein eyewear in Mexico and as result of his fast growth and creative ideas he became Sales manager for the central district in Mexico and one year later National sales manager. He selected and hired the majority of the sales reps and managed 23 sales reps nationally and all Marchon Brands. During these 10 years he opened and developed all the house and Key accounts. He was the launcher for all new brands as: Calvin Klein, Nautica, Fendi, Donna Karan, Coach, Sointu, Nike and Flexon. Edgar represented Marchon Mexico in all international optical Shows: Vision Expo West and Vision expo east (USA), MIDO and SILMO VISION EXPO in Europe among others.
