Ghost[ed.] is a suite of eight limited-edition stone lithographs, published in 2015. The eight artists who contributed to the suite are: Sue Baker Kenton, Gino Ballantyne, Jessie Brennan, Tim Brown, Hen Coleman, Nicole Polonsky, Edit Toaso and Caroline Whitehead.Ghost[ed.] evolved from an inherent characteristic of lithography: the 'ghost', or residual image, which remains within the stone after printing. The ghost is usually removed entirely by the process of graining: stone molecules and all traces of the image retained within them are ground away to return the stone to a neutral state in readiness for a new 'key' image.
