The HE-ARC is an University of applied sciences specialized in the field of conservation-restoration of archaeological objects and scientific, technical and watchmakers. It is one of the only two schools in Europe teaching conservation-restoration of scientific and technical heritage. Its pluridisciplinary Ra&D team aim at increasing knowledge and skills for professionals working in the field of cultural heritage. - BAHAMAS project: Fungi resistant to toxic metals will be exploited to create bio-patinas for the protection of metal artefacts based on copper, iron and silver (conversion of corrosion products into more stable and insoluble oxalates). - museum-wide projects for the preparation of exhibition, catalogues and excavation reports. - investigations on the technology and deterioration of objects (archaeometry). - development of novel conservation methodologies with the conservation department.

Microchemistry and Microscopy Art Diagnostic Laboratory, Ravenna, Italy.- characterisation of pigments and binders in polychrome surfaces.- testing of new protective agents for outdoor bronzes (5-years EU-6th FP project).- participation in different research projects: management, scientific and financial reports. - person in charge of the lab equipment troubleshooting.- training of new collaborators, undergraduate/graduate students.- co-author of 21 publications and ~30 oral and poster communications.- teaching assistant: chemistry for restoration, chemical and microscopic analysis of heritage materials.-high-level education training: Marie Curie EPISCON fellows, 1st level master “Study and restoration of archaeological materials”Competences: spectroscopic instrumentation (FTIR microscopy, SEM-EDS, multi-spectral imaging system, XRF), optical microscopy, teamwork, autonomous work, ability to work effectively even under pressure, adaptation capacity.
