About Edith Juanah
I have a passion for the emotional and social healing power of art. I am passionate about facilitating therapeutic spaces that aid in the safe exploration of personal trauma. Art provided a way to channel personal feelings in a positive way and create the space for healing my own trauma. My research focused on exploring how art therapy can be useful in mitigating the detrimental effects of racial trauma and racial micro-aggressions for young adults within the African American community. I am currently a practicing art therapist in the Dallas metroplex, working towards licensure. I use art therapy to guide clients through the exploration of their trauma throughout the span of their lives.
