Started as a three month contract that got extended. For the first three months I worked at an office in Cambridge, MA. after that I telecommuted to Birmingham, AL.I developed web based system for large financial institutions to manage retirement plans.

Performed preliminary analysis for system to use vibrational analysis to predict component failures in the lift fan in the joint strike fighter.Maintained and supported systems that used vibrational analysis, operation history, & maintenance records to predict helicopter drive train component failure.Developed tools to extract data from proprietary data format files to Matlab compatible data files.

I returned to Geo-Centers as an employee to build the prototype of the system I had worked on the proof of concept of as a contractor in 1995.Designed & developed infrared subsystem for multi-sensor vehicle mounted mine detector. The automatic target recognition (ATR) had, weather permitting, a 96% or better detection rate and a 15cm localization, with fewer than 1 false alarm per 100 square meters, at speed in excess of 7mph (10 square meters per second).Improved algorithm for the magnetometer subsystem that improved localization from 50cm to 20cm.Designed proposed international standard data file format for focused array ground penetrating radar (FA-GPR).Used statistical analysis, fuzzy logic, & image processing to analyze IR, electromagnetic pulse induction (PI), and FA-GPR data, using C++, MathCAD, Axum, & MATLAB.Redesigned embedded real time magnetometer software in C to support additional Geo Positioning System (GPS) systems, and enhance reliability.Provided field support for multi sensor vehicle mounted mine detector.Designed, installed, and configured the TCP/IP network in mine detector vehicle.Maintained and enhanced FA-GPR control systems.Built tools for in house use in Matlab, Delphi, Python, and Rexx.
