About Paul Moss
I am passionate about education and have great interest in improving the experiences of not only students as they learn, but also the experience of teachers as they teach. I currently lead a team comprised of learning designers and educational technologists within the Learning Enhancement and innovation unit at The University of Adelaide, a university ranked in the top 1% worldwide. The team’s mission is to advise on, design and implement blended curriculum and learning sequences in both undergraduate and post-graduate contexts. The team utilises the latest evidence-based research into learning in their design approaches, innovates in how learning can be achieved, and does both in a calm, patient yet purposeful fashion. I sit on a Faculty Teaching and Learning Committee, have designed and implemented strategies that have resulted in school wide change, frequently present at workshops and university teaching and learning events, write teaching and learning blogs and create resources utilised by program and course coordinators. I have 16 years teaching experience, primarily in secondary education, but also as a sessional academic in higher education. I have a BA (English and Psychology), a Post Grad Dip Ed, a Master’s Degree in Education, and am a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. I am an active contributor to educational forums, and have many published articles, including in TES. I also have a successful blog at www.paulgmoss.com, and an active twitter account with many influential followers: @edmerger.com.
