- Executed routine quantitative chemical analyses of alcohols, preservatives and organic acids in alcoholic beverages under an ISO 17025 and ISO 9001 quality environment.- Commissioned and validated a new NIR absorbance apparatus (Anton Paar Alcolyzer) for measuring ethanol content. Validation data was processed using R. Wrote the associated method and custom software for the apparatus.- Developed two GUI-based Excel VBA custom applications to facilitate data analyses and reporting of ethanol results from various workstations.- Developed an Excel VBA macro using heuristic rules and past data to automatically categorize and stream samples for analysis based on sugar content. This reduced the amount of rework necessary.- Developed and validated an Excel VBA macro to automatically check results against LCBO and regulatory specifications.- Optimized the workflow of the Gas Chromatography-FID workstation to achieve same-day turnaround time.- Maintained and administered the database in collaboration with the IT department and associated software tools underpinning the laboratory information management system in use.
