I am a Research Assistant working on a variety of projects nationwide. I am a member of WestEd's Research Practice Partnership team and a partnership coordinator under Regional Educational Laboratory Northwest (REL NW). I currently:-Work on projects including: RCT's for elementary programs in math and literacy; systemic instructional reviews (SIR) of two mid-sized school districts; applied research study on high school math course taking patterns; technical assistant projects with the Oregon Department of Education related to state literacy framework and the state’s Student Success Plans for students from historically underserved communities-Conduct research activities such as: facilitating interviews and focus groups with instructors, students, families, and school and district administrators; coding and synthesizing data for internal memos and report outlines; and drafting proposals, final reports, and external presentations-Create project materials including: classroom observation instruments, focus group and interview protocols, presentation materials such as slide decks and facilitator guides-Serve as lead for the agency’s Asian Pacific Islander Desi American (APIDA) employee resource group, including: generating programming for our 120 member erg, advocating on behalf of our members to agency leaders, influencing agency practices to better serve APIDA-identifying communities, partners, and staff
