I have a varied background stemming from Workforce Development, teaching, grant-writing, to educational administration. Throughout each endeavor, I have learned that despite many barriers we may face that one can still achieve their goals through hard-work, networking, and attention-to-detail.Even though the recession has been a challenge, I have found my employment journey to be a "breath of fresh air." The professional goals and the experience that I have attained within my nineteen years of educational experience will have a significant impact working with the federal government. While on this career path, I look forward toward re-entering the educational arena (possibly within the federal government), to examine more effective methods to curb recidivism of our high school drop-outs.Specialties: Grant Writing ● Executive Proposals & Presentations ● Project Management ● Enrollment Management● Community Relations ● Organizational Development ● ● Student Persistence & Retention ● Strategic Planning ● Policy Changes ● Data Collection● Educational Training/Development ● Cross-Functional Team Leadership ● Fundraising
